Geometric thinking got its start more than eight years ago. Originally, it was designed to teach aspiring young traders some relatively unknown methods of entering and exiting trades, based on such things as the geometry of a chart, and notably, AstroTrading.

Over the next several years, on the order of a thousand students worldwide went through this course and some of them went on to do very well for themselves. Several hundred of these students are still involved after all these years with Geometric Thinking, interacting with us through a Telegram channel, which the public is invited to join.

The founder of Geometric Thinking is James Blair Fredrickson. James has a bachelor’s degree in Finance & Economics from Bentley University in Massachusetts, USA, and a Master’s of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Southern California.

He began trading in 1993 when he entered his first trade – buying a futures contract of soybeans. Beginner’s luck was with him. He did well for the first few weeks and thought he would be wealthy quite soon. Unfortunately, that’s not the way the market works. He gave all that money back to the market shortly, but he had been “hooked”. He would spend the rest of his life studying every different trading book and pamphlet he could get his hands on.

In the past few years, he has spent most of his time developing PineScript tools for use on TradingView, which exploit the tricks and techniques he has discovered over the past 30 years. For many years, he considered his tool, which is called “Energy Points”, to be his ´magnum opus´. But more recently, he has developed a tool which he calls “GT AstroTrader”, which is now up to version 4.0, which is simply revolutionary.

This site will showcase GT AstroTrader and make its abilities plain for all to see. Some of these other tools will be exhibited from time to time.
